Role: Technical Sales Engineer – Calibration and Repair Lab

The Technical Sales Engineer – Calibration & Repair Laboratory will be responsible for driving business growth by promoting the laboratory's calibration, repair, validation, and technical services. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, maintaining strong client relationships, increasing market visibility, and achieving sales and revenue targets across industrial, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, and other key sectors..


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness of the laboratory's services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries.
  • Generate qualified leads and convert them into long-term customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase repeat business.
  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations and service proposals.
  • Coordinate customer visits, technical presentations, and service demonstrations with the laboratory team.
  • Develop annual calibration contract opportunities and service agreements.
  • Maintain an updated customer database and sales pipeline.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales and revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, technical conferences, and industry events.
  • Work closely with the Laboratory Manager to understand technical capabilities and communicate them effectively to customers.
  • Promote ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration services and the laboratory's quality systems.
  • Prepare weekly sales reports, customer visit reports, and monthly business development reports.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by coordinating timely service delivery and resolving customer concerns.

  • Monthly sales revenue achieved.
  • Number of new customers acquired per month.
  • Customer retention rate.
  • Number of quotations submitted.
  • Quotation conversion rate.
  • Number of customer visits conducted.
  • Number of annual service contracts secured.
  • Sales pipeline value.
  • Customer satisfaction score.
  • Growth in strategic sectors (Energy, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, etc.).


Competencies and Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional sales or marketing certification is an added advantage.


Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in technical sales, industrial marketing, laboratory services, instrumentation, engineering services, or calibration services.
  • Experience selling B2B technical services is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with industrial, manufacturing, utilities, hospitals, pharmaceutical, or energy sectors is an added advantage.
