Role: Technical Sales Engineer

Amotech Africa has an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our experienced team as a Technical Sales Engineer who will be Responsible for driving sales of the Amotech Electrical and Thermal imagingsolutions primarily in Kenya but additionally for other regions as needed by the business/market in cooperation with the OEM. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Sales Manager and will be responsible for the following:


  1. Perform market research, segmentation and come up with sales strategies to Penetrate the market
  2. Building business relationships with current and potential clients
  3. Conduct sales presentations including demos on thermal imagingsolutions equipment to potential clients to explain the features and benefits
  4. Offer Technical support for all products under the brand assigned
  5. Maintainhighlevelrelationshipwiththe OEM representing the Brand by attendingmeetingsand conducting joint customer visits when necessary.
  6. Initiate marketing strategies to promote Thermal imaging and electrical equipment sales
  7. Be at par with the tenders relating to Thermal imaging and electrical equipment and services
  8. Provide excellent customerservice by addressing customerinquiries and resolving issues promptly
  9. Identify new business opportunities and understand customer preferences
  10. Maintain accurate recordsof customer interactions and sales activities Implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed targets
  11. .Achieve and exceed sales targets set by Amotech Africa always maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
  12. Report on sales activities and performance metrics to the sales manager
  13. Provide feedback to the management about customer needs and productimprovements.
  14. Prepare and submit all requireddocumentation accuratelyand on time.
  15. Ensure all sales activities comply with Amotech Africa’s SOPs
  16. Provide after-sales support to ensure customer retention and loyalty


Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 5 years of Proven sales experience in theelectrical field or in the thermography space.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Thermography certification is an added advantage
  5. Strategic Thinker, and able to apply your skills to meet goals around Quota and KPI’s.
  6. Team player with an openness to feedback and a desire to grow
  7. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  8. Goal-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
  9. Strong social skills and enjoying selling and networking
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
